Why do people give flowers for Mother's Day? Mother's Day is the one day of the year to remember the women in your life who do or have done so much in their role as a mother. It is important to remember your own mother, your mother-in-law, your grandmothers and especially (if you are a father) the mother of your children. These are the women who have helped to shape your life and become the person that you are today and while they may not be perfect, they have usually sacrificed a great deal to bring you into the world and to make sure your needs were met throughout your life.
